ON-CAMPUS EMPLOYMENT FOR UNDERGRADUATE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN THE USA
|
Generally, international students in an undergraduate program may earn income to support their studies through on-campus employment. International students may work on campus provided that they maintain an F-1 visa status, do not work more than a total of 20 hours per week while school is in session and do no not displace a US resident. Students may be employed full time during holidays and vacation periods, including summer vacations, provided they are eligible and intend to register for the next school term.
International students are also eligible to work off campus in study related positions which are integral to or required by their degree program, such as co-op education, with authorization from their university and with a current F-1 visa or J-1 visa status.
